I had another PNW adventure yesterday! You can read it and see it on my website.
“There are no nouns, or verbs or adjectives, to describe Spray Park. It’s More. More than everything. I think I’ve never seen so beautiful a place. The photos come no where near its grandeur. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Mishaps preceded my hours in paradise.”

I am a Pacific Northwest native transplanted to the southeast for 36 years. In 2012, I returned to my childhood home and fell in love with this corner of the country again. I am a grandmother, a storywriter, a teacher, an attention payer, a hiker, and a back roads wanderer. Check out my website (and my memoir) at www.gretchenstaebler.com.

I know what you mean about the camera not capturing the amazing beauty unfolding before you on these hikes, although your pics are as close as you can get….spent time hiking in Alaska and the everyday beauty was just as hard to capture in word and film..
